Capstone Project Augmented Reality

Capstone Project Augmented Reality

Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that allows computer-generated virtual imagery information to be overlaid onto a live direct or indirect real-world environment in real time. In AR the environment is real but extended with information and imagery from the system. In other words, AR bridges the gap between real and virtual in a seamless way.

“Applying information at the right time and the right place is needed to maintain efficiency in both school and business settings. AR is one technology that dramatically shifts the location and timing of education and training.” Kangdon Lee – University of Northern Colorado

If you want to know more about the degree program then here is a snapshot and link. I invite you to consider the program especially if you want to get ahead of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the workplace or seek to be a consultant. Contact me or the school for further details.

Capstone Project through the University of Alabama, Graduate School, HES Interactive Technology program. For further details about this program please visit the school site. Capstone Project Augmented Reality.

The Institute for Interactive Technology offers a 30-hour asynchronous, online  Master’s degree area of study in Interactive Technology focused on computer-mediated communications as part of the Masters Degree in General Human Environmental Sciences.

What is Augment Reality?

Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that superimposes a computer-generated image on a user’s view of the real world, thus providing a composite view. Here is an image capturing students working in an AR environment.

Is this the right time and place to be introducing AR to children?

Not an easy question to answer. Maybe you can share your experience or opinion.

Why expose these children or young adults now?

I have tried to explore in this project how such placement affects adults in education and the workplace.
